Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend
Last weekend was a big weekend for Hackney – BBC Radio 1 hosted a huge free festival, the Hackney Weekend, and invited many of the big names from the world of pop to in front of thousands in the park and millions more at home. That’s not all though – backstage they dispatched reporters Ashley J and Tee J to Boo interviews, observations and what was happening from their perspective.
It sounds as though by Day 2 it got a little damp – but it didn’t dampen spirits:
BBC London were there too – and they grabbed a brief chat with rapper Plan B:
(I like to think that Plan A was to become an accountant, before he decided that it was too boring).
