New version of the Audioboo app out for iPhone!
Over the weekend you may have noticed an update to the Audioboo iPhone app was released into the App Store – if not, then go there now and update your iPhone to have the latest version! Here’s a brief summary of what’s new:
Channels

We’ve had them for a while now on the Audioboo website and we’ve finally brought them to iPhone. Audioboo Channels are where you can find all of the best Boos by the likes of the BBC, Absolute Radio and Red Bull’s F1 Team.

What’s really cool is that channels can be interactive – so if you see a “record” button on the channel, you too can contribute to it. Your Boo could end up being played on the radio!
Search
We’ve finally launched search on the App – simply go to browse and then scroll up, and you can search our Boo database for the audio that you’re looking for. As I mentioned the other day – I recommend a search for ‘helium‘.
Profiles
You can now do more with profiles in the app – if you go to someone’s profile you can browser their Boos and see who they’re following… and then follow them too!
Descriptions
We’ve modernised the “tags” box when you upload a Boo – now you can enter a description, and if you wish enter in-line #hashtags – just like on Twitter.

Stability Improvements and Bug Fixes
We’ve also made lots of behind the scenes changes and updates that should hopefully give the app greater stability. You won’t be able to see any of these so you’ll have to trust us – but our developers put lots of work into this so it’s definitely worth a mention!
Coming Soon: Facebook Integration
And launching soon we’ve got better integration with the iPhone Facebook app – soon when you click a link to a Boo in there, the Boo will load up in our app, giving you a fuller listening experience.
So why not head over to App Store and download the latest iteration – and if you like Audioboo, we’d love it if you’d leave us a nice rating and review too!

Very good! Liking the update very much. Does it housekeep the ‘My Boos’ section to stop the local storage from getting out of control?
I’m reliably informed that it does – once the Boo is online it deletes it locally.
Is it possible to audioboo through Luci Live app ? If so what settings?
Hi Peter,
In theory yes – the Luci Live developers could use our API to post to Audioboo, but I don’t think they’ve done this yet.
Hope this helps.
