Welcoming @RadioKate to Audioboo
What does a space junkie do when her mission to conquer the vast unknown is taking slightly longer than planned?
Well, you can’t do much worse than start work at Audioboo as our first full time Editor. Kate’s been a huge fan of ours since we worked together on The World Services Save our Sounds campaign a few months after launch. Trained as a radio journalist, her RadioKate and SpaceKate audioboo accounts are full of her passions and travels, as well as the aforementioned (and misguided in our humble view) idea that going into space would be an unforgettable experience.
At Audioboo, Kate is going to focus on both our users and the fantastic content they already create. Whilst some of this will undoubtably entail explaining for the hundredth time why we don’t support IE6, a lot of it will be spent on taking the platform to the next level, working on some publicity initiatives we have planned and generally getting out there and doing what she does best – which is creating great pieces of audio.
She’ll probably also update this blog a bit more than I’ve done in the past. All we need to do now is get her up to speed on table football and we’re sorted.
