BBC6 & Audioboo at Glastonbury
If you’re not lucky enough to be off to the Glastonbury festival (24th – 28th June), then theres no need to worry since Adam & Joe from 6 Music will be there simply for you. Courtesy of the wonderfulness of audioboo.
In a (commercial) deal with the BBC, the two presenters will be carrying audioboo powered iPhones with them to report back in near live fashion from the festival. God knows what they’ll say but that’s not a problem because, back at BBC HQ, an audioboo Pro account enables producers to easily pick the best (or cleanest) of their boos and funnel them with one click into a specially branded player at http://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury.
This could be a fantastic experience. The lineup includes Neil Young, The Specials, Lily Allen, Bloc Party, The Ting Tings, Lady GaGa, Blur, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Madness and Tom Jones. Tom Jones on audioboo? Oh, yes please!
They may even get played on air. The quality of the files we produce has already been deemed suitable enough for 5Live and Radio Melbourne, amongst others, and we’re hoping that the boys boos will get themselves on the nations airways as it (whatever that is) happens.
This is another amazing milestone for audioboo and we’re keen to see how it goes, as well as keeping our fingers crossed that our servers don’t take yet another weekend off.
