We’re at 140conf
Next week sees the start of the huge Twitter focussed 140conf in New York. Tuesday to Wednesday (16/17th) will see a troupe of 140 characters – including our own @KLBarber, who’s representing Audioboo.
But she’s back up by a noble brigade of UK folk - @RadioKate, @Documentally, @sizemore, @1indienation, @PhilCampbell, @dailytwitter and more – landing on the streets of New York and ready for action with their weapon of choice: Audioboo. We hope it’s going to be put to good use.
The speakers themselves are an impressive bunch: Jeff Pulver, Jack Dorsey, Tim O’Reilly, Fred Wilson and Robert Scoble are all there in addition to a huge range of others.
This will be the first mass test of audioboo in the US market. They haven’t really discovered it yet. It’s a UK/German phenomomea at the moment and we’re hoping that getting it in front of key influencers in the States is a sign of good things to come. Of course, all our people will be on UK data plans so we’re hpoing against hope that the wifi works.
The hashtag is #media140 and we’re looking forward to the boos.
UPDATE: article about the conference from New York Observer.

Go Audioboo. Go Karen. It deserves to be a great success in the US.
The dedicated channel for this on boobase is boobase.com/boos/tag/140conf. @documentally has already had to invade another hotel to get wifi but the boos are coming. Should be good!
